Live drums are a staple in most genres of music. In hip-hop music, we have a tendency to take live drum samples and process them until they smack the way they ought to. Deep Marsh, our latest drum sample kit, is no exception. We recorded one shots from a live drumset, and dipped each sound in a swamp of analog processing (outboard compression, analog tape, Pultec style EQ) until each hit took on a larger-than-life persona of its own.

We also created loops from each sound and mixed them through SSL-bus-compression and analog tape for that unmistakable grit and glue. Deep Marsh is a Soul Surplus Exclusive, and one of four special Black Friday releases. It features over 40 different drum sounds including kick, snare, hi-hat, toms, and more. Deep Marsh also includes 10 royalty-free drum loops labeled by tempo (BPM) for instant and easy use.
